Cotton Direct Dye Direct Blue 151
Product Characteristics
1.Solubility
Direct Blue 151 is highly soluble in water, presenting a blue-purple solution
Direct Blue 151 is slightly soluble in ethanol, showing a red-purple color
Direct Blue 151 is insoluble in other organic solvents
2.Acid-base Reaction
Direct Copper Blue 2R reacts with concentrated sulfuric acid to form a greenish-blue color, and turns purple after dilution
The aqueous solution of Direct Copper Blue 2R reacts with concentrated hydrochloric acid to produce a purple precipitate
It turns wine red when encountering concentrated sodium hydroxide solution
3.Dyeing Characteristics
Direct Blue 151 belongs to the azo direct dye category
It has good absorption capacity for cellulose fibers
Direct Copper Blue 2R can combine with fibers through hydrogen bonds and van der Waals forces
Direct Copper Blue 2R exhibits excellent color fastness:
Light fastness (Xenon lamp): Grade 5
Friction fastness (dry wipe): 4-5 grades
Friction fastness (wet wipe): 3 grades
4.Strength Specifications
Common specifications: 100% and 200%

Dyeing Usage Methods
1.Dissolution Method
Direct Blue 151 is fully dissolved in 80-90℃ hot water
It is recommended to mix it into a paste with a small amount of wetting agent first, then add hot water to dilute
After dissolution, filter it and add it to the dyeing tank
2.Direct Blue 151 Textile Dyeing Process
Dyeing Temperature: 80-100℃
Dyeing pH: Neutral or slightly alkaline
Boosting Dyeing Agent: Salt or alumina hydrate, added in multiple portions
Fixation Treatment: Solidifying agent Y can be used to enhance water wash fastness
3.Paper Dyeing
Add the dissolved dye to the pulp pulping or blending stage of the paper
Adjust the dosage according to the target color, and start testing with a small dosage
4.Leather Dyeing
Dye in a weakly acidic or neutral bath
Direct Copper Blue 2R can be used in combination with other direct dyes or acid dyes
Precautions for Using Direct Blue 151
Metal Ion Influence: Direct Copper Blue 2R is sensitive to copper and iron ions. Stainless steel equipment should be used
Dispersion: The dispersion property of direct dyes is relatively poor. Pay attention to adding salt in multiple portions to control the dyeing rate
Sample Testing: Before mass production, it is necessary to conduct sample testing to confirm that the color and intensity meet the requirements
Safety Protection: Industrial product. When operating, wear protective equipment to avoid inhaling dust
Storage Requirements for Direct Blue 151: Store in a dry and sealed place, avoid moisture
