Disperse Blue H-GL with C.I. Disperse Blue 79
Product Description
Low-quinoline eco-friendly Disperse Blue 79 (Disperse Blue H-GL) can be customized to satisfy export textile regulatory standards including ZDHC, REACH and OEKO-TEX.
Dyeing & Physicochemical Properties
1. Shade: Reddish navy blue (navy shade), the primary dye for compounding dark navy and black shades on polyester fabrics
2. Ion Sensitivity: Iron ions barely affect shade; **copper ions cause severe shade deviation**, hence copper ion content must be strictly controlled in dye baths
3. pH Tolerance: Alkali-sensitive, optimal dye bath pH value: 5.0~6.0; prone to decomposition and discoloration under alkaline conditions
4. Applicable Dyeing Temperature Range: Suitable for high-temperature high-pressure dyeing (130~135 ℃) and thermosol pad-dyeing processes
5. Leveling Property: Strong exhaustion and excellent deep-dyeing capacity, yet moderate leveling performance for jig dyeing. High-temperature levelling agent is recommended for dark shade dyeing

Applicable Fibers & Processes
1.Applicable Materials:
- Main substrates: **Polyester, polyester/cotton, polyester/viscose blended fabrics** for dyeing and direct printing
- Optional substrate: Triacetate fiber (slightly reddish shade)
Not Recommended:
Diacetate fiber, polyamide fiber and acrylic fiber (low dye uptake & dull shade); shade shift will occur when printed in the same paste with reactive dyes
2.Standard Application Processes:
1). High-temperature high-pressure jig dyeing / overflow dyeing: Core blending dye for medium-dark navy and black-blue shades on polyester
2). Thermosol pad-dyeing: Mass continuous dyeing for synthetic fabrics
3). Polyester direct printing: Form high-temperature primary color system when combined with Disperse Yellow Brown H-2RL and Disperse Rubine H2GFL for matching various medium & dark shades
Product Advantages & Disadvantages
Advantages:
1. High colour strength and outstanding deep-dyeing capability, the most widely used product for navy shade series in the market
2. Excellent sublimation fastness, compatible with high-temperature garment setting and wrinkle-free resin finishing
3. Good colour matching compatibility with stable compatibility and excellent colour reproducibility
4. Moderate production cost with high cost performance
Disadvantages:
1. Inferior leveling property in jig dyeing, prone to colour difference during bulk vat dyeing
2. Sensitive to copper ions; metal impurities in dye bath water and auxiliaries need strict control
3. Unstable under alkaline conditions; the pH value of dye bath shall not be excessive.
