Disperse Yellow 114 (Disperse Brilliant Yellow 6GSL) is a disperse dye mainly applied to high-temperature dyeing of polyester and its blended fabrics.

    Physical & Chemical Properties

1.Hue: Bright greenish pale yellow (6G extra greenish yellow shade)

2.Solubility: Insoluble in water, soluble in acetone, aromatic solvents, esters

    3.Ion sensitivity:

No shade shift with calcium & magnesium ions

Slight reddish shift under iron ion

Darker & duller shade under copper ion

4.Suitable pH range for dyeing & printing: 3–7, poor alkali resistance

    5.Diffusion grade: ≥ Grade 4, excellent high-temperature dispersion stability

    6.Density: 1.36 g/cm³

Color Fastness (Polyester, medium depth, ISO Standard)

    Applicable Dyeing Processes

    1.High-temperature high-pressure exhaust dyeing (130℃, preferred process)

    2.Thermosol pad dyeing for polyester-cotton one-bath / two-bath system

3.Direct printing on polyester fabric (rotary screen / flat screen printing)

Not suitable for carrier dyeing; cannot be used as ground shade for discharge & resist printing

    Application Scope

    1.Textile Industry

Dyeing & printing for polyester, polyester-viscose, polyester-cotton blended fabrics

Good coloring performance for diacetate & triacetate fiber, moderate for nylon

Ideal primary yellow for pale shades: pale yellow, apple green, off-white, beige; excellent color matching component for olive, army green, light brown & grey

2.Other uses: Heat transfer ink, solvent-based printing ink, plastic mass coloration

    Advantages & Disadvantages

    Advantages:

Extra bright & pale greenish shade, high saturation for light color dyeing

Superior sublimation & anti-thermal migration property vs Disperse Yellow 211, less discoloration after heat setting

Stable to metal ions, wide adaptability to dye bath water quality

Good levelness & covering power, less barreling for light shades

    Disadvantages:

Poor alkali resistance, strong alkaline condition is forbidden

Not applicable to carrier dyeing & discharge printing base shade

Higher cost compared with Disperse Yellow 211
