Disperse Red FB with C.I. Disperse Red 60
Disperse Red 60 (C.I. 60756), commercially named Disperse Red FB & Disperse Red 3B, is an anthraquinone low-energy (E-type) disperse dye.
Dyeing Properties
It delivers bright bluish-red shade with outstanding levelness and uniform dye uptake, hardly causing barreling for light-color dyeing. Its light fastness reaches Grade 6~7; fastness to washing, perspiration, dry & wet rubbing is Grade 4~5 with stable comprehensive performance. It has low sensitivity to copper and iron ions, strong adaptability to dye bath water quality and stable dyeing reproducibility. Its sublimation fastness is Grade 4, compatible with conventional heat setting post-treatment.
Core Physical, Chemical and Dyeing Properties
Available processes: 130℃ high-temperature high-pressure dyeing, thermosol pad dyeing, carrier dyeing, direct printing on polyester, heat transfer printing.
Applicable fibers: Polyester, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose blends, also suitable for diacetate, triacetate and nylon dyeing.
Color matching system: Normally combined with Disperse Yellow RGFL and Disperse Blue 2BLN as low-temperature three-primary colors, for compounding peach red, rose red, purple, coffee and other shades.
Extra applications: Coloring for plastics, printing inks, waxes & greases, special dye for supercritical CO₂ waterless dyeing.
Advantages & Disadvantages
Advantages:
Excellent light resistance from anthraquinone structure, superior light fastness to most azo red disperse dyes.
Perfect leveling property, stable pale shade dyeing, minor batch-to-batch shade difference and low rework rate.
Wide pH tolerance, high process tolerance and easy production control.
Suitable for low-temperature carrier dyeing to reduce energy consumption with wide applicability.
Excellent color matching compatibility, classic mainstream low-temperature red dye widely adopted in printing & dyeing mills.
Disadvantages:
Weak deep-dyeing capacity, less saturated dark shade compared with azo red dyes like Disperse Red 167 (Disperse Red FB).
Moderate sublimation fastness, not suitable for ultra-high-temperature pleating and rigorous high-temperature transfer printing.
Higher raw material cost for anthraquinone structure, more expensive than ordinary azo disperse red dyes.
Prone to shade shift under strong alkaline conditions, strongly alkaline dye bath should be avoided.
Packaging & Storage
Packed in sealed 25kg woven bags or fiber drums. Store in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse away from direct sunlight and moisture. Shelf life is 2 years under normal temperature sealed storage.
