Disperse Red S-5BL with C.I. Disperse Red 167
Disperse Red 167 (Disperse Rubine S-2GFL) is a monoazo disperse dye widely used for dyeing hydrophobic synthetic fibers such as polyester. Industrially, it is generally applied as a high-temperature type disperse dye.
Physical & Chemical Properties
1.Solubility: Insoluble in water, soluble in acetone, DMF, aromatic solvents.
2.Optimal dyeing pH: 4.0~5.0 (weak acid condition), resistant to weak acid, unstable under strong alkali.
3.Ion resistance: Shade barely affected by iron & copper ions in dye bath.
4.Diffusion grade: ≥ Grade 4; excellent high-temperature dispersion stability, no agglomeration & filter clogging.
5.Shade: Rich rubine red with outstanding deep-dyeing capacity, classic red component for high-temperature three-primary color system.
Applicable Dyeing Processes
1.Preferred process: 130℃ high-temperature high-pressure exhaust dyeing.
2.Thermosol pad dyeing: For mass continuous production, thermosol temp ≥200℃ recommended.
3.Direct flat screen & rotary screen printing on polyester; applicable as base shade for P/C discharge printing.
Not suitable for carrier dyeing; incompatible with alkali-containing reactive dyes in one-bath printing.
Application
1.Main usage: Dyeing & printing for polyester, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose blends.
2.Color matching system: Matched with Disperse Orange 30 (S-4RL) & Disperse Navy HGL as high-temperature three primaries, compounding navy, dark grey, army green, coffee, black and other deep shades.
3. Fiber adaptability: Good coloring for diacetate & triacetate; only pale shades for nylon; not for acrylic fiber.
4. Extra applications: Heat transfer ink, solvent-based colorant, plastic mass coloration.
Packaging & Storage
Package: 25kg woven bag / fiber drum
Storage: Store in sealed, cool, dry & ventilated warehouse, avoid direct sunlight & moisture
Shelf life: 2 years under normal sealed storage
Advantages
1.It features excellent light fastness and strong deep dyeing power, presenting full and rich shade in deep-color dyeing.
2. It has good adaptability to water quality and low sensitivity to metal ions, resulting in small batch-to-batch shade difference and stable dyeing reproducibility.
3. It possesses strong resistance to post-finishing treatments and can withstand heat setting as well as wrinkle-free durable press processes.
4. It shows outstanding compatibility for three-primary color matching, serving as the mainstream red dye widely adopted in printing and dyeing mills.
