Disperse Turquoise S-GL with C.I. Disperse Blue 60
Product Description
Disperse Blue 60 (Disperse Turquoise S-GL) is an anthraquinone disperse dye widely used in the textile printing and dyeing industry. Its Key Defect: Color shifts green and dull in presence of iron ions during dyeing; slight discoloration caused by copper ions. Iron equipment shall be avoided in dye baths.
Shade & Dyeing Characteristics
- Standard Shade: Bright turquoise blue with distinct green undertone, extremely high color saturation; classic high-brilliance turquoise component among disperse dyes
- Build-up Property: Ideal for light and medium shades, poor deep-dyeing capacity, rarely used alone for dark navy shades
- Common Blending Combinations:
1. Mixed with Disperse Yellow SE-6GFL → Apple green & lake green
2. Mixed with Disperse Yellow SE-FL → Blue-green
3. Mixed with Disperse Blue 2BLN → Soft lake blue & royal blue
4. Mixed with disperse violet → Brilliant peacock blue

Applicable Fibers & Dyeing Processes
1.Applicable Substrates
- Primary: Polyester (PET), polyester-cotton blend, polyester-spandex blend, micro-fine polyester
- Secondary: Acetate fiber, polyamide (nylon)
2. Mature Dyeing Processes
1). High-temperature high-pressure jig / rope dyeing (125–130℃)
Normal dosage: 0.1%–2.0% on fabric weight; good leveling property and stable shade
2). Thermosol pad dyeing (190–220℃, 30–60s)
Preferred for printing and pad-dyed fabrics, stable sublimation fixation
3). Disperse digital printing / flat screen printing
Steaming fixation at 170–180℃, low white ground staining
4). New technology: Supercritical CO₂ waterless dyeing (120℃/28MPa), good compatibility
3. Reduction Clearing Formula for After-treatment (to remove loose color)
Sodium dithionite 2g/L + Caustic soda flakes 1–2g/L + Detergent 1g/L, hold at 70–80℃ for 10–20min
Product Advantages & Disadvantages
Advantages:
1. High saturation turquoise shade, irreplaceable brilliant blue component in the market
2. Strong high-temperature stability, no color shift under thermosol and high-temp dyeing conditions
3. Good leveling and migration performance, hardly causes uneven dyeing on micro polyester fabrics
4. Excellent perspiration and light fastness, compliant with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 eco-certification
5. Low white ground staining in printing applications
Disadvantages:
1. Sensitive to iron ions; dye vats and pipelines shall be made of stainless steel
2. Poor deep build-up capacity, not suitable for single-shade dark navy
3. Higher price compared with ordinary blue disperse dyes
4. Slight sublimation after long-time high-temperature holding (no impact on light shades)
Packaging, Storage & Transportation
- Packaging: 25kg fiber drum lined with PE bag; 200% high-concentration grade is mainstream
- Storage: Sealed and stored in cool dry place, shelf life 2 years
- Transportation: General chemical goods; keep dry, avoid contact with ironware during transit
Industrial Application Fields
1. Apparel: Quick-dry sportswear, swimwear, thin polyester fashion garments for spring & summer
2. Home textiles: Curtains, printed polyester bed linens, beach fabrics
3. Industrial textiles: Polyester fabrics for automotive interiors, tent outdoor fabrics
4. Accessories: Polyester elastic tapes, woven tapes, package yarn dyeing
