    Product Characteristics

Tracid Dark Blue 5R is a uniform powder ranging from greenish-black to deep blue, free of lumps and impurities.

    Basic Physical and Chemical Properties

    1. Color Characteristics: Aqueous solution of Tracid Dark Blue 5R appears deep purple to red-violet navy blue, with rich and pure hue.

    2. Solubility: Acid Blue 113 is soluble in water (purple), ethanol (violet-blue), and ethylene glycol ether; slightly soluble in acetone; insoluble in organic solvents such as ether, benzene, and mineral oil.

    3. Ion Type: Strong anionic dye; Acid Blue 113 forms ionic bonds with protein fibers and is suitable for weakly acidic to neutral dye baths (pH 4–7).

    4. Chemical Stability:

Dyeing Performance and Application Points (Production Process Special)

    1. Applicable Fibers: Wool, silk, nylon (polyamide) dyeing and printing; wool/silk, wool/nylon blended fabrics; Tracid Dark Blue 5R  is also used for knitted velours, blankets, and carpet dyeing.

    2. Dyeing Process: Weakly acidic to neutral bath (pH 4–7, adjusted with acetic acid or ammonium sulfate); dyeing begins at 40–50°C, then heated to 90–95°C and held for 30–40 minutes, ensuring excellent leveling.

    3. Dyeing Characteristics:

    - Leveling: Excellent, with smooth dye uptake and low risk of color unevenness.

    - Affinity: High; Acid Blue 113 achieves over 85% dye uptake on protein fibers.

    - Shade Blending: Tracid Dark Blue 5R blends well with Acid Yellow and Orange to produce dark green and olive green shades; with Acid Red to form purple and black; with Acid Blue to yield navy blue.

    - Wet Fastness: Excellent (wash fastness 4–5, perspiration fastness 4–5).

    Common Precautions

    1. Dissolution Method: Acid Blue 113 should be fully dissolved in hot water (60–80°C) with thorough stirring, then cooled to the dyeing temperature before adding to the bath—avoid direct addition of cold water to prevent lump formation.
    2. Compatibility and Fixation: Tracid Dark Blue 5R can be blended with all weakly acidic and acid dyes; strictly avoid co-bathing with cationic dyes (precipitation may occur). Due to its excellent wet fastness, fixation is generally unnecessary; outstanding lightfastness meets requirements for outdoor applications.
    3. Storage and Use: Store in sealed containers away from moisture. If the product has clumped, it can be crushed and dissolved in hot water without affecting performance. Expired dyes should first be tested for hue and solubility; only use if they meet specifications.
