Textile Direct Dye Direct Blue 6
Direct Blue 2B (C.I. Direct Blue 6, CAS No. 2602-46-2) is a classic di-azo direct dye. It appears as a dark blue powder and has excellent water solubility and dyeing properties. Product features
Solubility: Direct Blue 6 dissolves in water to form a blue to navy blue solution. It is slightly soluble in ethanol and insoluble in other organic solvents.
Acid-base reaction:
Direct Blue 6 turns bright blue when exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid. After dilution, it turns purple to reddish-blue. When added to the aqueous solution with concentrated hydrochloric acid, it forms a navy blue precipitate. When added to sodium hydroxide solution, it forms a deep purple precipitate.
Dyeing properties: When dyeing cellulose fibers, Direct Blue 6 has good dye uptake performance. Its affinity is the greatest at 60-80℃, and it has good fading resistance.
Appearance: Dark blue powder. The industrial product specifications are usually 100% and 200% strength. Application scope
Direct Blue 2B is mainly applied in the following fields:
Textile printing and dyeing: dyeing of cellulose fiber fabrics such as cotton and viscose
Silk dyeing: dyeing of silk fabrics
Paper dyeing: coloring of cultural paper, packaging paper, etc.
Biological dyeing: dyeing of laboratory biological samples
Textile Printing and Dyeing (Core Application)
This is the main application field of Direct Blue 2B.
1.Fiber dyeing
Applicable fibers: cotton, viscose, linen, etc. of cellulose fibers
Characteristics of Direct Blue 2B dyeing:
Good dye absorption, high dye uptake rate
Optimal dyeing temperature: maximum affinity at 60-80℃
Good bleaching property, facilitating correction of dyeing defects
2.Silk dyeing
Direct Blue 6 can be used for dyeing natural silk fabrics to obtain a blue tone
3.Blending application
Direct Blue 6 can be used as a blue component and mixed with other direct dyes for obtaining different color lights
Paper Dyeing
Direct Blue 2B is clearly applicable for paper coloring:
Applicable paper: cultural paper, packaging paper, etc.
