Wool Dye Acid Black 10B Acid Black 1
Product Characteristics
Acid Black 10B is a double azo strong acid dye.
Basic Physical and Chemical Properties
1.Water Solubility: Acid Black 10B is soluble in cold water and dissolves faster in hot water; the solubility at room temperature is approximately 10g/L; it is recommended to dissolve in soft water; hard water may cause color spots and precipitation.
2.Organic Solvents: Acid Black 10B turns blue when dissolved in ethanol; it is slightly soluble in acetone; it is insoluble in oil-based solvents such as benzene and grease.
3.Acid-Base Color Reaction (Identification Feature)
Aqueous solution + concentrated hydrochloric acid: Greenish-blue precipitate is formed
Aqueous solution + sodium hydroxide: Blue precipitate is formed
In concentrated sulfuric acid: Blue-green color, after dilution with water, dark greenish-blue precipitate is formed (Douyin Encyclopedia)
4.Metal Ion Sensitivity: Acid Black 1 shows a slight color shift when encountering copper ions; when iron ions are present, the dye color becomes slightly greenish and does not penetrate well when blackened; the dyeing tank should preferentially use stainless steel equipment and avoid cast iron and copper pipes.
pH Applicable Range: Strongly acidic dyeing, the optimal pH is 2.5-4.5, acetic acid-sulfuric acid bath; dyeing in alkaline environment leads to failure of dye release, and alkaline coloring is not allowed.
Dyeing Performance and Color Fastness
Recommended Dyeing Process Conditions
Dyeing temperature: 40-50℃
Dyeing temperature: 90-98℃
Heating retention time: 45-60 minutes
Promoting agent: alumina hydrate, sulfuric acid
Evenness of dyeing: 3 grades, the dyeing is generally even, the heating speed should not be too fast, dark colors are prone to color bleeding, it is recommended to add dyeing enhancer
Conventional Color Fastness Indicators
Sunlight Fastness: 5-6 grades
Soap Wash Fastness: 2-3 grades
Sweat Fastness: 3-4 grades
Dry Friction Fastness: 4-5 grades; Wet Friction Fastness: 3 grades
Application Areas
1.Textile Printing and Dyeing Industry
Wool, cashmere, wool yarn, silk, nylon fabric, nylon yarn dyeing and printing; mainly blue-black color, can be dyed separately, Acid Black 10B can also be used as a black base and mixed with other acid dyes for color matching.
2.Industrial Coloring Field
Leather: coloring of shoe upper leather, clothing leather, glove leather; blue-black effect
Paper: coloring of craft paper, writing paper, decorative paper
Water-based ink: pen ink, water-based marker dye, excellent water solubility; not suitable for ballpoint pen oil-based ink
Electroaluminum, wood products, incense, water-based color paste coloring
Product Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages
1.Acid Black 1 is a single-component synthetic dye with a simple composition, excellent color reproduction, and no risk of color difference at the beginning or end when mixed with other dyes.
2.The color is stable and pure, with classic blue color; the sunfastness is excellent, and the black color is not prone to rapid gray fading or discoloration.
3.Acid Black 1 has good water solubility, making it convenient to prepare ink base solutions; the supply is sufficient, and the cost performance is high.
4.It has strong compatibility for color matching, and can be combined with most acid dyes to adjust tones such as red-black and green-black.
Disadvantages:
1.The uniformity of Acid Black 10B for dyeing is moderate. When dyeing dark colors, the temperature rise is too fast, which may cause color bleeding.
2.The soaping and wet rubbing fastness of Acid Black 1 is average. When washing with water on dark colors, there is a slight color fading phenomenon. It is recommended to perform fixation treatment after dyeing to improve the fastness.
3.It is sensitive to iron ions, and the dyeing water quality and equipment control requirements are high.
4.Acid Black 10B is a strong acid dye and cannot be dyed onto nylon under neutral or weakly acidic conditions.
